Fred was once a marijuana user.
In the episode Deep Down, Fred tortures Connor with a stun gun.
Fred (not Cordelia, Wesley or Gunn) was with Angel when Darla staked herself and Connor
was born. As Joss Whedon never just does something, the symbolism of this moment has been debated. (Some suggest she represents
Madonna. Others say Ilithyia- goddess of childbirth and midwiving.)
Fred once admitted her first sexual dream was about the Mouse King from the Nutcracker
ballet.
When Fred was in Pylea she convinced herself that LA was not real and that her previous
life was just a story. When she came back to LA, she convinced herself that Pylea wasn't real and that all of the horrible
things that happened to her didn't- that is, until her parents showed up.
Fred, when scared or being followed, tends to hide in dark places (something several
characters commented on). In Pylea she hide in a cave; at the Hyperion, when Wesley was chasing her, she hid in the abandoned
rooms; when she was hunted during Jasmine's takeover, she hid in the sewers.
As a possible side affect of her brush with insanity, Fred tends to speak in run-on
sentences, moving from one subject to the next, such as: 'I-I never understood that saying 'right as rain.' How is rain right?
Or wrong, for that matter. Okay, I suppose if there's a flood it's wrong and speaking of floods, or maybe just being overwhelmed
- what's it like to have a vision?"
When Fred gets caught up in her work, or is just going crazy, she tends to write on
walls and windows, ala John Nash.
Fred was the first human known to break from Jasmine's hold.
Fred seems to have a hatred of betrayers: she tortured Connor for betraying Angel,
she tried to kill her old professor for sending her to Pylea, and she was the one to tell Wesley never to return to the Hyperion
after he kidnapped Connor.
Fred was the only member of the Fang Gang that wanted to save Spike. Most of them had
a rather hypocritical reason- that he's a vampire. Like Angel. Fred however, argued that he was a vampire with a soul that
had died saving the world and as such, was worth saving. Ultimately, Fred discovered a way to bring him back but Spike gave
it up to save her. They became fast friends and Spike later told Illyria that he had loved Fred (as a friend).
Fred's last words to Angel (Handsome man saves me) are nearly identical to her first
words to him.
Fred is the 3rd member of the Fang Gang to die (the first two being Doyle and Cordelia).
The story Fred asks Wesley to read to her before she dies is The Little Princess.
As the show progressed Fred's best friend became Lorne, a Pylean empath demon (Fred
was held as a slave in his home dimension). The loyalty and affection Fred had for Lorne was reciprocated; when Fred was being
killed by Illyria, the gang went to Eve to get information and Lorne said, "Here's the thing, Eve: You're going to sing for
me, and I'm going to read you right now. And here's one more thing: Winifred Burkle once told me after a sinful amount of
Chinese food, and in lieu of absolutely nothing, "I think a lot of people would choose to be green. Your shade, if they had
the choice." If I hear one note — one quarter-note — that tells me you had any involvement, these two won't even
have time to kill you." After her death, he began drinking even more heavily than before, then ultimately left the Fang Gang.
